What is it like to always fly first class?

Fortunately, our company provides me First Class travel everytime I travel for work and it includes all the short or long haul flights. For last 7–8 years, I had been flying First class and 4 carriers I have come to like are in the order of preference: 1. Etihad, 2. Emirates, 3. Qatar 4. Singapore… a close tie with Lufthansa if none of these are available.

The experience is simply different than flying coach… It starts with the Booking, whether the Airline or the Agent, you get their best staff to handle your booking. They are always overly courteous and they are determined to make your flying experience the best. They send you the best Chauffer and the Cars… even if two people are flying together, each will get individual car and no pooling of guests. They offer you highest loyalty points on your frequent flyer membership.

At the airport, the porter carries your luggage in a Hotel Style trolley cart and you are ushered in a comfy sofa seats for your check in. I don’t have to stand at the counter in Etihad airways. They simply take my passport and luggage and complete all the formalities of check in and handover me the luggage sticker and boarding pass. The security check and passport control is also dedicated so, virtually there are no queues for either. The waiting lounges have the premium seating, ambience, liquor of your choice, food can be prepared if you don’t like ready meals. The Spa offers complimentary 30 minutes foot/body massage, free shave and shampoo even trimming, Shower facilities in the lounge. So pretty much, you have a great welcome before you even board the flight.Escorts in Mumbai, Escorts in goa,  Mumbai Escorts, Goa Escorts | Mumbai Escorts Services, Goa Escorts Services, Mumbai Escorts Provider, Goa Escorts Provider, Mumbai Escorts Agency

Then, if your flight requires travel through bus to reach the aircraft, it will usually pick you up from your lounge in a cushy bus with very limited seats dedicated for First class passengers. At the Boarding Gate, you have highest priority to board and usually someone escorts you to the boarding gate if you wish. Once you arrive inside the aircraft, for bigger planes, you have your dedicated first class suite… yes its not a seat but a small suit dedicated to you which offers complete privacy as you can close the door and its nobody’s business about what’s inside. You have a dedicated hanger for your jacket, you are offered a changeover (sleeping suit) a vanity bag with essential items. Your suite would have a large screen TV typically 29″–32″ depending on the aircraft and a dedicated minibar with some beers, water, soft drinks. Lot of space to stow away your personal belongings. The seat is usually a wide and flat bed… Flat means 180 degree flat and wide enough for even two people if they want to get intimate during the flight.

The service includes best in class Champagne and wines, whisky’s and anything you may desire. On etihad, you have a dedicated Sky Chef who would take care of your food and beverages. Once, I was travelling on a long haul flight and I told the chef that I am feeling hungry and craving for Indian food… although there was nothing Indian available on the menu, he still got me some Chicken Biryani and other side dishes to ensure I have a hearty meal. I don’t know for sure if he had access to a Kitchen on the Airplane as the food was steaming hot and fresh. That’s personal care for the guest in First Class. Now, he further suggested me the Don Perignon 2003 batch champagne and told me that this batch is one of the best batches of Champagne the Winery has produced and Etihad has bought the whole batch of wine for their exclusive consumption… that’s the exclusivity available to guests. The nuts served with wine are Warm and taste like freshly roasted.Escorts in Mumbai, Escorts in goa, Mumbai Escorts, Goa Escorts | Mumbai Escorts Services, Goa Escorts Services, Mumbai Escorts Provider, Goa Escorts Provider, Mumbai Escorts Agency

The steward(ess) are very courteous and they make sure that you have the best experience and a comfortable travel. The Entertainment is top notch with headphones that are best in class Acoustic Noise Cancelling ones. If you are awake, the wine/food/service keeps flowing and one more thing to mention… On a Larger aircrafts you have a shower and a big Bath for your use… which means that instead of trying to squeeze yourself in a tiny lavatory, there is a wide n big Bath available to you for changing into your sleep suit and to freshen up. The Duvet are usually velvet material with cotton lining for a soft and luxurious feel. The sleepers are provided for you to walk during the flight. So, when you arrive at your destination, you are just fresh without any traces of travel fatigue.

At the arrival, you have a “Arrival Lounge”… yea its not over yet… Here you again have a chance to get Shave, Hair Trim, shower, Food & drinks in case you haven’t had it already. The concierge will help you get you to your Limosine to take you to your destination for the last leg of your “First Class” experience.

The above is one of my best experiences on A380, Emirates Airways and some other experiences on Etihad Air. But overall, if you are flying First Class… you get what you paid for… a “First Class” experience. Its not just the flight but the experience that you pay for.
